Monkey and Me by Emily Gravett

In Monkey and Me, a little girl and her pet stuffed monkey use their imaginations to visit other animals. The text has great repetitive flow, "Monkey and me, Monkey and me, We went to see some.....PENGUINS!" When paying attention to the illustrations, children can anticipate what animal they will see next. The little girl and her monkey hop like kangaroos, hang upside down like bats, and of course swing around like monkeys. The delightful simplicity of the storytelling and the illustrations creates for a pleasant reading experience. Children will enjoy the surprise with the turn of each page. Great for story time.
